– Northglenn, City Recreation Center, Roof and HVAC replacement –
This project included re-roofing the building and replacing the mechanical system throughout the building. The demolition of the existing 7500 square feet of sloped concrete tile roof included the removal and replacement of the soffits and sheathing throughout the roof. The concrete roof tiles were replaced with a standing seam metal roof and soffit system. The built up roofing in the six feet tall mechanical wells was replaced with tapered insulation and EPDM system. During this process the structure was modified to support the new roof top units. The mechanical system throughout the building was replaced.
The Recreation Center is constructed in multiple wings. This resulted in the project being conducted in 7 phases to allow the continued use of all areas throughout the construction. The ceilings were removed and replaced as needed to accommodate the replacement of the mechanical system. The building was occupied and accommodated summer camp for kids and many other activities. During construction asbestos was found. Our team coordinated with the asbestos company and the owner to keep the project on schedule.
